She curls her tail
Around herself
And carefully
Grooms
A little white paw
And looks at me
So innocently
From the sheet
Of warm cookies
She lies upon
This isn't the best of my work, but I had to write it; I found my daughter's cat, Lily, who some of you have seen in my gallery, curled up quite comfortably on the stovetop, laying on a freshly baked tray of chocolate chip cookies! Luckilly, they were covered with paper towels.....what a brain damaged cat!!!!!

My goodness I don't understand why your poems don't have 1,000's of views but I don't understand people and their choices. Poems that are not very good or comprehensible get viewed and then work like yours which is real, and beautiful and soul and mind identifing have low views. You must be published and if not you should be!!!!!

That is the kindest and sweetest compliment I have ever gotten! Thank you so much...I just write what I feel...it's my way to stay sane when life is on a rollercoaster!

Sorry, we are all out! I have to bake brownies this evening so I can have dessert available for my ten year old. He thinks dessert is mandatory!

love the rhythm, the warmth--in its emotional atmosphere. interesting lack of punctuation. seems like you might be able to read it in a variety of ways since there is no guidance from the write as to where to pause or stop. it would be fun to try to stick your own punctuation in it and read it out loud. or try a couple of different ways to see if turned out to be a different poem each time. meta-poetry! i even like the way the text looks on the page. excellent job!

It works, unless you are really set on a particular structure..

once in awhile i use some sort of structure, rhyming couplets or whatever or have a bunch of stanzas that all have the same number of lines in each. most of it is free form, though.

i'm going to try that! i am getting so many zillions of ideas of things to try! i should probably spend less time on here and more time realizing my ideas! i joined a bi-sexual group today and i intend to draw or write something to submit to that group. i also have a necklace that i'm making for someone that i want to start on tonight. hooray for insomnia! :)

At least it gives you time to be creative...unfortunately, it's not the best for your health!

very true. i'm bi-polar though and i'm super manic right now, have been for a couple of days. i haven't slept in i don't know how long. i know it's terrible for my body--and my mind, i get weirder and weirder the longer i go without sleep, but even sleeping pills and medical marijuana don't do a thing to slow me down. nothing does. it's unstoppable. i just have to ride it out. did you see the drawing i made for the bi-sexual group? i've never drawn anything like that before. it looks sort of like a cartoon. tell me what you think, if you could. i feel very unsure about it and i want to know (totally honestly) what you think of it. it's called "i want both." thanks! if you don't have time, that's perfectly fine, too. <3

Just did sweetie! Hope you tire out enough to slow down and nap soon! Are you on meds for your bi-polar? I have a sister-in-law that used to have bi-polar issues; unfortunately, she was recently diagnosed as mildly schizophrenic....she is on all kinds of meds now!

She was totally not sorry one bit when I caught her either! She usually runs the minute she knows she's been seen doing a nono, but not this time!
